I’m going to a birthday/going on Externship party tomorrow.

We all were asked to bring something to eat. So i decided to make Cookies.

I was looking thought my Betty Crocker’s Cookbook from 1969 (which is older then the one my mom has).

I was going to make the chocolate chip cookies that i always make

but then i seen this one and decided to try it.

Cream Cheese Cookies

Final Product

Ingredients you will need

1/4 cup butter or margarine, Softened

1 package (8oz) cream cheese, Softened

1 Egg yolk

1/4 teaspoon Vanilla

1 Package of Cake mix

( I used White Cake, can’t believe a cookbook from 1969 has a recipe that uses cake mix)

What you will need

Medium Bowl

Wood spoon/ mixer

1/4 teaspoon

container for egg white

Then Start the Dough

1. Cream Butter and Cream Cheese

2. Separate the egg

3. Mix in the yolk and vanilla

4. Then mix in the Cake mix 1/3 at a time

5. Cover and Chill for 30Mins

6. Preheat oven to 350°

7. Cut or pinch off pieces and place on a ungreased pan

( they don’t grow or spread any)

8. Bake for 8 to 10 mins until just starting to get gold on edge

9. let cool on the pans

Makes about 28 to 30

Let me know how you like them
